Descripción

The excursion begins with the pick up from the hotels at 7:00 am in the morning. Then we go to the port of Punta Bandera, 47 km from El Calafate, where we will start sailing through the North Arm of Lake Argentino at 09:00 am.

We will sail to pass the Boca del Diablo towards the Upsala Channel and to navigate between the large icebergs that emerge from the front of the Upsala Glacier. Then we enter the Spegazzini Channel and moments later we will have the first view of the Dry Glacier.
We continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier where we will also see the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.

We prepare to disembark at La Base Spegazzini and begin the visit to the area by walking through the forest path to the Spegazzini Refuge. This 300-meter trail has unparalleled views of La Bahía de Los Glaciares, on its way we can enjoy thematic stations and viewpoints. The path is accessible and does not represent complexity since it is done on firm ground. Once in the Refuge, visitors will be able to have lunch and enjoy an incredible panoramic view both from their rooms and from the outside (Deck & Terrace).

For those who like to hike, they can take the 700 meter mountain trail. This tour is a medium difficulty trek through a wooded path, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that ends at the disembarkation point.

Subsequently, the return to the port of departure is undertaken.

Navigation Route (*)

8:30 am - Boarding at Punta Bandera Port.

9:00 am – Start of navigation through the North Arm of Lake Argentino. We cross the Boca del Diablo to the Upsala Canal. Then we enter the Canal Spegazzini and moments later we have the first view of the Seco Glacier. We continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier where we will also see the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.

12:30 pm Disembark at Refugio Spegazzini.

4:00 pm - Arrival at Punta Bandera Port.

Includes lunch (appetizer, main and dessert) and open bar for drinks (with and without alcohol) plus cafeteria. The menu is served in an exclusive lounge located inside the restaurant. For operational reasons and better development of the activity, the starter and dessert can be served on the boat.

Recomendaciones

• Entrance fee to the National Park must be paid in cash and in Argentine pesos.
• Lunch: either a lunch box can be carried or have lunch in the restaurant located in Spegazzini Refuge.
• Clothing: To improve your experience we recommend you wear comfortable shoes, warm clothes (sweater, sweatshirts and windbreaker or waterproof anorak), sunglasses, sun cream, gloves, a cap or a woolen hat in case it is very cold.

Navigation does not operate on December 25, nor on January 1.

• To accredit minor age, you must send a copy / scan of ID card or passport of the same.
• If your purchase is only for the navigation tickets, you will receive your voucher by mail and the day before the navigation you will be contacted by our staff to coordinate the delivery of the boarding passes.

Cancelaciones

• Online purchases can be canceled without penalty 48 hours previous to the tour.
• If the cancellation occurs due to health problems and the passenger cannot take the excursion, must present the medical certificate that supports the situation in order to evaluate a possible return.
