Day 1: Perito Moreno Glacier

The excursion begins with the pick-up at the hotels starting at 09:00 AM. From El Calafate to the Perito Moreno Glacier there is a distance of 80 km.

As soon as we leave the town you will observe Lake Argentino with its Redonda Bay. Then, in the first 40 km, you cross the Patagonian steppe and after entering the National Park you can see arboreal vegetation belonging mostly to the “notofagus” family (ñires, cherries, lengas).

A few kilometers before arriving at the Glacier, we will be entered to the port for those who wish to make a one-hour navigation along the front of the glacier (optional). Those who do not navigate will be taken directly to the walkways sector. You will have three hours of free time to have lunch and walk the walkways to obtain different views of the front of the Glacier, which is 5 km long.


Day 2: Todo Glaciares

The excursion begins with the pick up from the hotels at 7:00 am in the morning. Then we go to the port of Punta Bandera, 47 km from El Calafate, where we will start sailing through the North Arm of Lake Argentino at 09:00 am.

We will sail to pass the Boca del Diablo towards the Upsala Channel and to navigate between the large icebergs that emerge from the front of the Upsala Glacier. Then we enter the Spegazzini Channel and moments later we will have the first view of the Dry Glacier.

We continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier and we prepare to disembark at La Base Spegazzini. Once in the Refuge, visitors will be able to have lunch and enjoy an incredible panoramic view both from their rooms and from the outside (Deck & Terrace).

For those who like to hike, they can take the 700 meter mountain trail. This tour is a medium difficulty trek through a wooded path, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that ends at the disembarkation point.
Subsequently, the return to the port of departure is undertaken.

• Entrance fee to the National Park (It must be paid both days).

Recomendaciones

• Entrance fee to the National Park must be paid in cash and in Argentine pesos.
The second day of visiting the National Park the entrance fee has a discount of 50%.
• Lunch: either a lunch box can be carried or have lunch in the snack bar in the park/Refugio Spegazzini.
• Clothing: it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes, warm clothes (sweater, sweatshirts and windbreaker or waterproof anorak), sunglasses, sun cream, gloves, a cap or a woolen hat in case it is very cold.

Todo Glaciares does not operate on December 25, nor on January 1.

Cancelaciones

• Online purchases can be canceled without penalty 48 hours previous to the tour.
• If the cancellation occurs due to health problems and the passenger cannot take the excursion, must present the medical certificate that supports the situation in order to evaluate a possible return.
